Readers on… All the best (and worst) advice your mother gave you

WE ASKED, AND you told us.

Earlier today we asked for the best bits of advice you’ve received from your mother over the years – or the worst, if that made more of an impact.

From how to change the world to how to get a boyfriend, from how to keep fruit and vegetables in the fridge to how not to fall off a horse, just about all the advice you can imagine was there.

Some of the responses were sweet, some were hilarious, and some were so poignant we were reaching for the tissues. Yes, there was just something in our eye.
