Instagram loses Kelly from Saved by the Bell…and One Direction could be next

Sh*t just got serious.

@DrewMillward

WELL, THAT’S NOT exactly what’s happening but the Internet is freaking out today over Instagram’s planned changes to its terms of service and privacy policy.

The company blogged about its preview of the proposals yesterday, indicating that “nothing has changed about your photos’ ownership or who can see them”.

However, analysis of the fine print has revealed that from 16 January, the photos can be used for third-party advertising. And the user won’t be told – or receive payment for their images.

To ensure this doesn’t happen, amateur photographers and celebrities alike will have to delete their accounts before 16 January next year. And nobody is happy about it.

Saved By The Bell’s Kelly Kapowski is more disappointed than angry.

While, Kate Walsh (or McDreamy’s red-headed wife) was too upset to say much.

Instagram could probably handle losing two television stars…but what would happen if One Direction vacated the sepia-drenched building?

Others, just saw the funny side of the World Wide Web’s panic attack, poking fun at Instagram’s popularity with wannabe foodie photographers.
