THE US ARMY CELEBRATED its 237th birthday with an unusual but appropriately-themed cake: a fake tank made out of thousands of camouflage-coloured cupcakes.
The tasty tank, which also fired cupcakes, was part of week-long commemorations for the army anniversary and was unveiled yesterday at the Pentagon. The firing mechanism is powered by an air cannon inside the Abrams-shaped cupcake tank.
The tank weighs 1,100 kgs and was built from 5,000 mocha and buttercream cupcakes:
