Champions League Live: Barcelona v Manchester City (RTÉ2, 7.30pm)

Madonna on The Jonathan Ross Show (UTV Ireland, 9pm)

Despite being aired on ITV in the UK on Friday, Irish fans only get the chance to watch the special Madge episode tonight. And it is certainly all about Madonna - she performs two songs, chats about her new album, and discusses that Brits fall. #jonathanross

Stargazing Live (BBC2, 8pm)

Prof Brian Cox and our own Dara Ó Briain host this show from Jodrell Bank Observatory in Cheshire, counting us down to Friday’s total solar eclipse. Tonight’s special guest is the legendary astronaut Buzz Aldrin. #stargazinglive

Yet another preview has been dropped ahead of the fifth season premiere on April 13 – in it, we see Tyrion Lannister discussing the quest to find a new leader for the Seven Kingdoms, and that leader may or may not be… A gal. *gasp*

  • The Billion Dollar Chicken Shop (BBC1, 9pm) A look behind the scenes at KFC, plus a visit to one of the farms that provides the chickens.
  • The King’s Speech (Film4, 9pm) Colin Firth plays Prince Albert, who must get over his speech impediment before he can lead Britain as King George VI.
  • Quantum of Solace (RTÉ One, 9.35pm) One of the less popular Bond films, but still a Bond film, sure.
  • Control (Channel 4, 12.55am) Photographer Anton Corbijn directs this biopic of Joy Division’s Ian Curtis. Sam Riley stars.
