Ripper Street (BBC1, 9pm)
The series (which is shot in Dublin) returns this evening, with Mathew Macfayden back as DI Edmund Reid, who must investigate a train accident in Whitechapel. Watch out for our own Charlene McKenna as Rose Erskine. #ripperstreet
BBQ Champ (UTV Ireland, 9pm)
This new series is taking on the Great British Bake Off with delicious barbecue – host Myleene Klass guides contestants through creating ‘BBQ masterpieces’. Man Vs Food fans will spot Adam Richman (the titular Man) among the judges. #bbqchamp
Everybody’s talking about: Game of Thrones
There’s all sorts of juicy gossip about the show coming from the Television Critics Association press tour at the moment – one of which is that the show will go on for eight seasons, as opposed to seven as originally thought.
HBO exec Michael Lombardo also said they won’t disregard a prequel, though it’s all up to the showrunners. Fans, remain excited.
