A pint in the Stag’s Head listed in top 50 ‘must eat experiences’

The Dublin pub was the only Irish entry to make Kenwood’s food lovers bucket list.

HAVE YOU HAD a pint of Guinness in the Stag’s Head yet? A pint of the black stuff in one of Dublin’s oldest pubs has been included in a new top 50 ‘must eat’ list, compiled by top foodies from Britain and Ireland.

The Stag’s Head was included for its ‘perfect pint pouring capabilities’ and overall hospitality to punters.

The pub is the only Irish entry to make the Kenwood Food Lovers Bucket list–50 must-do culinary experiences, compiled for Kenwood by a panel of six experts including TV chef Simon Rimmer and restaurant critic Giles Coren.

Describing the Stag’s Head experience, the list states that:

The Stag’s Head in Dublin is centuries-old and whilst once a stomping ground for James Joyce, and used in many a movie, they also know how to pour the perfect Guinness for punters to enjoy.

The list covers essential food experiences, not limited to pints and a trad sesh. It suggests must-try ingredients, recipes and culinary adventures, with other boxes to tick off including croissants and coffee in a Parisian cafe and breakfast at the Wolseley in London.

Director of Marketing for Kenwood, Mark Swift, said

It’s amazing to see what an effect food has on our lives. We’ve pulled together the Food Lovers Bucket List to help people experience the very best that food has to offer both here and abroad, and the Stag’s Head has a very well deserved place on the list.
