FESTIVAL ORGANISERS MCD have confirmed the Foo Fighters as the first headline act for next year’s Oxegen Festival. The Seattle-based rockers are the first act announced for next year’s Punchestown showpiece, with frontman Dave Grohl saying he was looking forward to playing his band’s new album, a “festival album”, in front of a live audience. ‘Early bird’ tickets for next year’s festival go on sale this Wednesday.
