Here’s how every Leaving Cert student feels on results morning

Have mercy on their souls.

“Maybe I did brilliantly”, you tell yourself in a moment of inspiration

“Maybe I failed horribly”, you tell yourself in a moment of misery

The words of Auntie Brigid are ringing in your ears

She rang last night to wish you luck and to tell you she was saying a prayer for you.

WHERE WERE YOUR PRAYERS WHEN MUSSOLINI CAME UP INSTEAD OF HITLER AUNTIE BRIGID?

You didn’t sleep a wink

And when you did, you dreamed of opening and envelope full of fails.

In those dreams your teacher/principal looked like Mrs Trunchbull

In the morning your mother has made you a boiled egg/pancake/cup of tea and is giving you this look:

You’re making a lot of  ’anxiety’ trips to the bathroom

And now it’s almost time to get those results

Good luck from everyone at DailyEdge.ie!
