IT’S A HARD life being a UK royal. Not only are you constantly required to tour exotic foreign locations on the taxpayer dollar, but people often shower you with gifts along the way.

Since Prince William and Kate Middleton tied the knot last year, they’ve been on two official tours – one to New Zealand and Australia, the other to Canada and the USA.

Every gift they received – most of them regular, ordinary people – has been meticulously catalogued and released by the Royal Family’s communications department.

So what presents are the couple feathering their new nest with? Well, there was technology, food, toys – and a baffling number of hats.
