Awkward.

JUST DAYS AFTER giving up to half a billion people a handout of the new U2 album Songs of Innocence, Apple have started telling people how to delete it.

There was an irritated reaction from some iTunes users, after the album appeared in their libraries without warning.

And today, the tech giant responded. By releasing a specific help page to assist people who really don’t like U2.

In fact, Apple have created an entire dedicated web destination for U2 haters. You simply visit it, and click “Remove” to expunge the album from your library.

There was joy on Twitter at the news.

Last week, U2′s manager Guy Oseary told Mashable about the album: “It’s a gift from Apple… If someone doesn’t like the gift, they should delete it.”
