This Cork girl's 'ghost' video has scared the shite out of 8 million people

But is it real?

IT’S BEEN WATCHED eight million times since yesterday and confused half the country in that time.

Cork girl Ashy Murphy uploaded a clip from her auntie’s gaff in Blackrock to Facebook, and it looks like there is some mysterious activity afoot.

First, the video shows the light in the room moving suspiciously

Then, the two brooms in the corner fall over

A metal plate then seems to hop over by itself on the counter. Things are getting weird

Within seconds, a chopping board has fallen over as well

And a cupboard has opened up on camera too

Finally, a laundry bin flies across the kitchen floor and the video ends

With over 170,000 shares on Facebook in 24 hours, it’s safe to say that it’s enthralled the internet. Watch it below and judge for yourself:

It would appear that the video is the second in the same week from Ashy, with this attack of the poltergeist going up last week:

Note the different tune blaring in the background. Similar things happen, but this video was uploaded last Monday – so it would seem like a true ghost invasion of her poor auntie’s house is underway.

But is it real? The internet has its suspicions

One of the YouTube comments made a screenshot of the supposed wire used and uploaded it to Imgur, claiming you can clearly see the string pulling the items around the kitchen:

For those who can’t see the wire, open the vid full screen, 1080P HD mode and go to 1 min 5 seconds to see this

The majority of YouTube commenters feel they have spotted a flaw in the video, summed up by this guy:

There is fishing wire attached to the ceiling light electrical wire , can see when it moves, the wire bends cos the wire is pulling it.

But given it’s been shared over 170,000 times, it’s safe there are plenty of people out there who want to BELIEVE.
