ONLY A DAY after tickets to Guinness’ Arthur’s Day 2010 went on sale, they’ve been spotted on eBay.

Tickets for the celebration went on sale at 9am yesterday morning with the main event at James’ Gate and another gig in the Academy selling out quite quickly. Although tickets still remain for many of the pubs and venues across the country, James’ Gate and The Academy have become much coveted tickets.

Chart toppers Snow Patrol are set to play James’ Gate while Brandon Flowers of The Killers and Plan B, Jose Gonzales are set to play The Academy. There are eight listings on eBay for Arthur’s Day tickets. Two tickets for St James’ Gate are going for as much as €299.99, while a pair of tickets for The Academy will set you back €249.99, a premium of over €200 more than the tickets were originally sold for.

This is the second year that Arthur’s Day has been celebrated, it was established last year to celebrate Guinness’ founder Arthur Guinness and the 250 anniversary of the brewery. Guinness has planned hundreds of events across the world that will see punters raise a glass to Arthur at 17.59 on September 23rd 2011.

One wonders how the charitable Guinness family would feel about this one?
