Everybody’s talking about… The X Factor versus Strictly

Simon Cowell has lashed out at the BBC over the timing of its hit show Strictly Come Dancing. He’s accused the broadcaster of ‘aggressive scheduling’ of the show, which will clash with ITV’s X Factor at 8pm on a Sunday.

Cowell says there was a gentleman’s agreement in place to ensure that the two shows wouldn’t enter a ratings battle, and that the BBC has gone back on that agreement.

The X Factor returned to tellies on Saturday evening, with a follow up show on Sunday. Many, many straws were being clutched with the number of zany contestants and sob stories ramped up to the maximum. Come back Brucie, all is forgiven!
