The Great British Bake Off (BBC 1, 8pm )
As always. This week is pastry week, and bakers are making frangipane tarts and Cypriot flaouna for the techical challenge. The showstopper will be made from vol-au-vents and we’re already reaching for the Spar croissants as we speak.
Grand Designs (Channel 4, 9pm)
A new series featuring Kevin McCloud as he taks us around magnificently designed homes and rubs our faces in it. This week, showcases business mogul Clinton Dall’s plans to build what will be the biggest home ever featured on the show. Oh, get you, Clinton.
Everyone is talking about… Stephen Colbert
Stephen Colbert made his Late Show debut last night, having left the Colbert Report to take the seat from David Letterman.
His guests were George Clooney and White House contender Jeb Bush.
The reviews have been mostly positive so far, with the LA Times stating it was a ‘strong start’, and the New York Post claiming Stephen made a ‘rousing’ late-night debut.
