What to watch on TV tonight: Thursday

The Supervet (Channel 4, 8pm)

It’s baaaaaaack. Irish supervet Noel Fitzpatrick will fix your cutesie animals, you better believe it. This week features a chinese crested dog having seizures, and a deerhound with a broken neck that requires risky surgery. Prepare your tears.

The Truth About Fat (BBC 1, 9pm)

Is eating fat really all that bad for you? We’ve been trained to think that low fat = good, but is there a difference between good fats, bad fats, ok fats, and how much of them you should eat? Medic Saleyha Ahsan will stop the confusion in this BBC documentary detailing the benefits of fats and what can happen if you cut them out completely.

Tracks and Trails (RTÉ 1, 7pm)

Everyone’s favourite architect Dermot Bannon is exploring the Inishturk island off the Mayo coast. He begins on Roonagh Quay to start his adventure visiting the attractions on the island that is home to less than 100 people.

Everyone is talking about… Rihanna freaking out Jimmy Kimmel

Jimmy Kimmel is known for his elaborate pranks. Well, Rihanna appeared on the show last night and turned the tables on Jimmy completely.

She went into his bedroom in the middle of the night and started jamming out to her new song Bitch Better Have My Money.

So much to love here.

The Twilight Saga, Breaking Dawn (Channel 4, 9pm) It’s a love story, involving vampires and werewolves. We know.

Don’t Just Stand There, I’m Having Your Baby (RTÉ 2, 7.55pm) This amazingly-titled show examines the partners of pregnant women who need a good kick up the arse.

Home of the Year (RTÉ 1, 8.30pm) The judges are along the south west coast to make you jealous by looking at amazing houses.

How To Get Away With Murder (RTÉ 2, 10pm) This excellent US drama with Viola Davis as a law professor continues.
