Modern Life is Goodish (Dave, 10pm)

Don’t Stop The Music (Channel 4, 9pm)

This two-part documentary follows musician James Rhodes as he organises a “musical instrument amnesty” whereby people donate unused instruments so that schoolchildren can have the opportunity to learn one. The series examines the success of the measure and features him lobbying the UK government to fulfil its promise of every child being afforded the chance to learn music. There may be feels.

Richard E. Grant’s Hotel Secrets (Sky Atlantic, 9pm)

This week, Richard E. Grant visits some of the most luxurious and extravagant hotels in Tokyo including the Park Hyatt, famed for having been featured in Lost in Translation. He also explores Japan’s preoccupation with tiny dogs. We’re there.

Everybody’s talking about… Rachel McAdams and True Detective

It is being reported that Rachel McAdams is in talks for a role in the second season of True Detective. The actress is said to be in contention for the role of a “no-nonsense sheriff”.

The Mean Girls actress is reportedly going against Mad Men’s Elisabeth Moss for the coveted part. Other actors in talks to join the second season include Colin Farrell, Vince Vaughn and Taylor Kitsch. Production on the series is scheduled to commence later this month. (Independent)
