Paul Hollywood’s Who Do You Think You (BBC 1, 9pm)

The Bake Off judge traces his roots, learning more about his grandfather Norman. He survived danger in Tunisia, and straight again on an Italian beach. Who doesn’t love Paul, REALLY?

Educating Essex (RTÉ 2, 8pm)

The excellent Channel 4 series comes to RTÉ and it’s well worth a watch. The docuseries follows the students and teachers of an Essex school and the struggles and achievements they face every day.

Very British Problems (Channel 4, 9pm)

Julie Walters narrates this new series which features celebrities chatting about typical British social awkwardness. The first episode features James Corden and Johnny Vegas speaking etiquette and shaking hands.

Everyone is talking about… that Great British Bake Off

The second contestant was eliminated last night and ratings have stayed big at 8.9million.

In case you missed it, it was biscuit week. Contestants had to make a version of biscotti, as well as a biscuit box.

The innuendo thought of itself.
