True Detective (Sky Atlantic, 9pm)

The anticipated new series of the grimy drama starts tonight. Colin Farrell and Vince Vaughn take over from Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson in the detective anthology, with Farrell playing a Los Angeles cop with a killer mustache, and Vaughn as a LA crime lord. The reviews so far have been on the fence, but it’s a complete revamp from the last season, so give it a go.

Whiskey Business (TV 3, 8.30pm)

This documentary following the Teeling brothers and their mission to open Ireland’s first whiskey distillery in 125 years. The third episode sees them finally receive the copper Pot Stills and facing a potential security breach.

Kevin McCloud’s Escape to the Wild (Channel 4, 9pm)

McCloud travels to a jungle in Central America to chat to the British family of five who quit their London lifestyle to live a basic existence in Belize rainforests. Bound to be a fascinating one.
