The Late Late Show (RTÉ 1, 9.35pm)

If you’re not out celebrating payday, rugby star Donnacha O’Callaghan is joining Ryan in the studio tonight. Also stopping by, is beauty queen Lisa Madden who wore this epic Celtic warrior costume at the Miss Universe finals last week. The designer Claire Garvey will also be on to explain herself. Sharon Horgan on the Graham Norton Show (BBC 1, 10.35pm)

On Graham’s sofa tonight, we have our very own Sharon Horgan. Yes, she’s ours now. She’ll be talking about the success of her comedy Catastrophe along with so-star Rob Delaney. Also on the show, is Slumdog Millionare star Dev Patel, Jack O’Connell, and the one and only Judi Dench. First Aid Kit will play the tunes.

The Road (BBC 2, 11.05pm)

Viggo Mortensen plays a man who attempts to find a place to take his son after what is basically the end of the world and the resulting cannibal gangs. Some seriously chill Friday night viewing.

Lethal Weapon 4 (TV 3, 9pm) Mismatched LAPD detectives attempt to take down a human trafficking racket. Mel Gibson, Danny Glover, Jet Li and Chris Rock all feature.

Jamie and Jimmy’s Friday Night Feast (Channel 4, 8pm) This week, the pair are joined by actor Michael Sheen.

8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown (Channel 4, 9pm) The old favourites, plus Josie Long and dad-to-be Johnny Vegas.
