What to watch on TV tonight: Friday

Here are the shows that’ll be on your Twitter timeline later.

Every lunchtime, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

The Graham Norton Show (BBC One, 9.35pm)

After Jessie J sang Bang Bang with her mouth closed, we can only imagine the antics ol’ Graham has in store for us tonight. Joining him on the couch are Oscar nominee Jessica Chastain, Sir David Attenborough, Gary Lineker and Harry Hill. A somewhat motley crew, so.

Cilla (UTV Ireland, 9pm)

This lauded biopic of everyone’s favourite dating show host Cilla Black aired on ITV last year. If you missed the delightful biopic the first time around, it’s airing on UTV Ireland tonight. Proper “settle-in-by-the-fire-and-have-a-cuppa” TV.

The Late Late Show (RTÉ One, 9.35pm)

Meanwhile, on RTÉ One, Ryan will be joined by an as-yet-unannounced line-up. Ooh, the intrigue.

Everyone’s talking about… The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt

Netflix / YouTube

The trailer for the forthcoming Netflix sitcom dropped yesterday and it looks hilarious. From the brains of Tina Fey and starring Ellie Kemper, it follows a girl who escapes from a cult and moves to New York to start afresh.

This is our reaction.

Or flick over for…

  • IABA Elite Senior Irish Championships (TG4, 7.30pm) Having Conor McGregor withdrawals? A good dose of boxing will sort you.
  • Catastrophe (Channel 4, 11.05pm) In case you missed it on Monday.
  • QI (BBC Two, 10pm) Season L continues.
  • Postcards from the Edge (RTÉ One, 11.55pm) Carrie Fisher’s utterly brilliant semi-autobiographical film.
  • Killing Them Softly (Film Four, 11.40pm) Noir crime with a haggard Brad Pitt.
