THE LABOUR PARTY has been holding its national conference in Galway this weekend, with issued discussed ranging from job creation to abortion in Ireland.

However, ahead of the address by the party leader Eamon Gilmore last night, two ministers looked like their minds had wandered to other matters…

Mr. Cotter,
Obviously, one of their colleagues are pontificating on the podium about shite and telling the audience that as far as he and his colleagues can remember, they made no promises! The photograph is important, to the readers and the people who partake in discussions on journal.ie but also for you, Mr. Cotter, as I assume you are a supporter of Labour/Fine Gael. The disinterest and and pure boredom shown or both their faces is classic!

May I put a caption to the photograph Jennifer? Thanks!

It’s not gutter journalism, I’ll define gutter journalism, English tabloids, some articles in Independent Newspapers, RTE/journalist report on the priest, I can give more examples but I’m in good humour enjoying the journal.ie page today, don’t ruin it for me and others.

Firstly. I am no labour supporter..However i do take offence to this type of gutter journalism. It adds nothing….Its not funny…So two ministers look bored and tired so what??? If its news worthy report it..If not dont.
And Rommel…Think whatever you like…just dont put them up on media for all to view..

  Declan, it’s the daily edge.. As already pointed out to you above this is the more light hearted section of the journal, I’m sure you are familiar with compartmentalisation?
  
  It’s not intended as “news”, it’s intended as the little positive or humorous tid bit at the end. There’s too much negativity out there, we all need something to raise a smile now and again and I for one applaud them for not always focusing on the serious, negative and depressing stories as too much of that is bad for the psyche.
  
  Take a step back, maybe have a sit down and a cup of camomile tea, take some deep breaths and remember it’s ok, you can relax and laugh once in a while, all that negativity and aggression can’t be good for your blood pressure..
