Waterford sets new world record… for porridge

1380kg of porridge, to be exact!

THEY SAID IT couldn’t be done, and Waterford said ‘we’ll prove them wrong’.

A new world record for the biggest ever bowl of porridge has been set in the city as part of the Harvest Festival.

A two metre high bowl with a diameter of 1.7 metres was filled with 100 bags of Flahavans oats and 800 litres of water. After sugar and milk was added it produced a grand total of 1380 kilos of porridge. Tuck in everyone!

In go the oats!
