EVERY FRIDAY AFTERNOON,TheJournal.ie presents an award-winning short film for you to enjoy as you ease into the weekend.
This week: Teeth
Set on a fishing boat, this perfectly judged short film captures the craic of two old fellas indulging in the important Irish tradition of oneupmanship. Teeth is a ‘last laugh’ tale of two friends, their teeth and a series of events that leaves them lost for words.
The film was a collaboration of two film professionals who are each better known for their work in other areas. Ruairi O’Brien is known for his cinematography on dramas like Five Minutes of Heaven and The Running Mate, while John Kennedy has been a digital and visual effects artist on films like The Eclipse and Perrier’s Bounty. The film is a former winner of the Tiernan McBride Short Film Award at the Galway Film Fleadh. It was produced by Noreen Donohue and full credits can be found at DivaMedia.ie.
