Watch council workers paint ‘disabled’ space around a car… then tow it

AN ISRAELI STUDENT who parked her car near her apartment in Tel Aviv was surprised to find that it had been towed when she got back.

Where it had been was a disabled parking space, complete with white lines and a sign.

So she got hold of the security camera footage… which showed council workers painting lines around the car, installing a sign, then towing it away.

Hila Ben-Baruch called the local authority to learn her car had been impounded and she also had a €270 fine for parking in a disabled space, the Times of Israel reports.

She released the video, which quickly went viral… and the city waived the fine.

  Corpus Diplomai, the owner is a classified as a diplomat eg. an embassy worker or politician and is not subject to the laws in that country.
  
  London has a real problem with so many diplomats and none of them paying the congestion charges.

Same kind of thing happened in Blackrock, Co. Dublin a few years ago if memory serves me right? That time double yellow lines were involved. I think he had to pay the fine & then take the council to court.

The flip side to this is to keep a can of spray paint and ‘erase’ double yellow lines as required. Like the council workers in the video, just don’t get caught!
