VIDEO: A 1970s guide to selling Guinness to the British

Vintage TV ads show the stout wasn’t just aimed at an ex-pat audience in the UK…

YOU’VE VERY LITTLE chance of getting a Guinness in a pub today… although if you’re in the UK it’s a different story.

Not that Guinness has always just pitched its product at an Irish ex-pat audience. Check out these TV ads for Guinness from the 1970s – all squarely aimed at luring a British audience into developing a yen for the creamy brew.
