U2 to release new song for free for 24 hours

Get Invisible for free on Super Bowl Sunday.

U2 HAVE ANNOUNCED that they will release a new song called Invisible for free this Super Bowl Sunday, February 2.

The track will be globally available on iTunes and free of charge for just 24 hours. The move is in aid of Bono’s charity (RED), with the Global Fund receiving $1 for every free download from Bank of America.

The new partnership between (RED) and Bank of America has seen the bank commit $10million to the fund, set up to fight Aids, TB and Malaria, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation has also matched the $10 million pledge.

Danger Mouse who’s responsible for albums from the likes of Gnarls Barkley and The Black Keys produced the track, and 60 seconds of the video will also be shown during the Super Bowl ads and will be on YouTube from 8pm tomorrow.
