What to watch on TV tonight: Friday

Here are the shows that will be on your Twitter timeline later.

Every lunchtime, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

The Imelda May Show (RTÉ One, 9.35pm)

The last in the current series of the music and chat show sees off air tonight – so no more live Friday night larks until the Late Late returns. Imelda welcomes in Delorentos, Marc Almond and Mike Sanchez, among others. #ImeldaMayShow

Love/Hate (RTÉ One, 10.40pm)

Another chance to see the epic finale of the series. We probably all know what happens, but the drama will still be top notch – and you can look at that ending to see if you spot anything new to add to the conspiracies. #LoveHate

500 Days of Summer (Film4, 7.10pm)

The dedicated 500 days-themed romcom sees Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Zooey Deschanel fret their way through a romance. It has some stand out moments and a good soundtrack. There’s worse ways to spend your Friday nights. #500DaysOfSummer

Everybody’s talking about: Daniel O’Donnell stepping lightly into Strictly

TV news has been dominated by one thing in the last 24 hours, and that’s our man Daniel’s confirmation that he will appear on the next series of Strictly Come Dancing.

We’ve had predictions

Grim signs of things to come

But generally speaking, everybody can’t wait to see how this turns out.

Or switch over for…

  • The Last Leg (BBC One, 10.35pm) Adam Hills, Josh Widdicombe and Alex Brooker gag their way through the week that’s been.
  • Ferris Bueller’s Day Off (E4, 9pm) Bueller? Bueller? Anyone?
  • BBQ Champ (UTV Ireland, 9pm) The competition to find the best amateur barbecue experts is down to its final five. Worth the watch for the meat alone, surely?
