What to watch on TV tonight: Sunday

Here are the shows that will be on your Twitter timeline later.

Every lunchtime, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

The Gleneagle (RTE 1, 8.30 pm)

This new RTE series gives a behind the scenes look at the Gleneagle Hotel in Killarney – how the managers and staff deal with guests and the general hectic atmosphere of the service industry. Expect drama and a host of well-loved characters by the end of the series.

Ireland’s Wild River: The Mighty Shannon (BBC Two, 5.50pm)

BBC naturalist and cameraman Colin Stafford-Johnson canoes his way along Ireland’s longest river and discovers all sorts of wildlife and nature along its banks and in the water. It should be a fascinating look at Ireland’s countryside.

Dirty Dancing (TV3, 9pm)

And some people aren’t looking forward to it much

Or switch over for…

1864 (RTE 2, 11.20PM) This new Danish drama is set to be a gripping historical piece and potentially Scandinavia’s next big TV hit.

Room to Improve (RTE 1, 7pm) Not a new episode obviously, but would Sunday nights be the same without Dermot? It’s this generation’s Glenroe.

The Mafia with Trevor McDonald (UTV Ireland, 10PM) Former news broadcaster Trevor travels around Philly and explores the underbelly of the mafia.
