What to watch on TV tonight: Wednesday

Here are the shows that’ll be on your Twitter timeline later.

Every lunchtime, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

The Apprentice (BBC1, 9pm)

This week, Lord Sugar challenges the remaining contestants to organise coach tours and persuade punters to take day trips to tourist attractions outside London. One team decides to tour Oxfordshire, the other Canterbury. Will they be successful? Well, it doesn’t seem likely, does it? #theapprentice

Broadmoor (UTV, 9pm)

Cameras enter the UK’s most famous psychiatric hospital for the first time in this two-part documentary. We’ll hear the stories of some of Britain’s most dangerous men – chilling stuff, no doubt. #broadmoor

Away From Her (BBC1, 12.05am)

This Oscar-nominated drama stars Julie Christie as a woman slowly succumbing to Alzheimer’s disease, and looks at how her husband (Gordon Pinsent) deals with her illness. What will happen when she loses all memory of him? Prepare to weep.

Everyone’s talking about… #FashionPolice

The E! chat show has been put on hold after the death of its host, Joan Rivers, and won’t be back on air until January of 2015.

However, there have been many rumours about who the network would choose to replace the late comedian – and it appears to be her fellow funnywoman Kathy Griffin.

Griffin confirmed to Access Hollywood that she had received an offer from E!, but she wasn’t sure if she would accept:

I don’t know if the situation is…right for me at this time. I really hope they continue in the spirit of Joan’s work. Somebody’s gotta be out there poking fun at the ridiculous of all this!
