What to watch on TV tonight: Tuesday

Here are the shows that’ll be on your Twitter timeline later.

EVERY WEEKDAY lunchtime, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

Utopia (Channel 4, 10pm)

Third episode of the acclaimed conspiracy thriller from Channel 4, following a group of strangers who find themselves in possession of the manuscript for a mysterious graphic novel – and are then targeted for it. It’s been criticised for its gratuitous violence, but Utopia is one of the best things on TV. #utopia

Building Ireland (RTÉ One, 7pm)

For years now, Limerick residents have been brazenly claiming that their city is home to the tallest spire in Ireland. In the fourth episode of RTE’s architecture series, architect Orla Murphy visits St John’s Cathedral and finds out that it may have shrunk. Yes, shrunk. Expect outrage from pride-hurt city residents. #buildingireland

56 Up (UTV, 9pm)

Last in a series of groundbreaking documentaries, following a number of British children from seven years old to middle age. The first film was made in 1964, and the filmmakers have returned every seven years since. An incredible, eye-opening – if sometimes controversial – project. #56up

Everybody’s talking about: Tulisa

BBC Three aired its documentary Tulisa: The Price of Fame last night. It covered the entire last year of Tulisa Contostavlos’ life, with considerable access, from the day she was caught in a tabloid drug sting to her high-profile court battle. The documentary sparked heated debate on Twitter; if you can’t dig it up on a player, Digital Spy has this summary.

Or flick over for…

  • Grey’s Anatomy (RTÉ Two, 9.30pm) Last in the series that was delayed for Irish viewers by the World Cup.
  • The Mindy Project (E4, 9.30pm) Rather good US comedy.
  • Dog Soldiers (E4, 10pm) Liam Cunningham gets an outing in this ridiculous werewolf horror.
  • Gay Byrne: My Father’s War (RTÉ One, 11.15pm) Repeat of this documentary following Gaybo as he tracks his father’s progress through the First World War.
