What to watch on TV tonight: Tuesday

Here are the shows that’ll be on your Twitter timeline later.

Every lunchtime, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

Black Mirror: White Christmas (Channel 4, 9pm)

Jon Hamm (Mad Men) stars in Black Mirror’s unlikely ‘Christmas special’, penned once more by Charlie Brooker. The 90-minute show contains three darkly satirical mini-stories – one of which will focus on ‘blocking’ people in real life as you would on social media. Wonderfully creepy. #blackmirror

The Great British Bake Off Christmas Masterclass (BBC2, 8pm)

Get out the notebooks and pens – you’re going to need these recipes next week. Paul Hollywood and Mary Berry divulge how to make perfect mince pies, Christmas puddings, and fruitcakes, as well as some other tasty treats. #gbbomasterclass

Bressie’s Teenage Kicks (RTÉ2, 10pm)

Over the series, Bressie has formed a band with five teenagers from different communities in Limerick. The final episode sees his young charges record their first EP and play a major gig in Limerick, after six months of writing and rehearsing. Will they make him proud? #teenagekicks

Everyone’s talking about: #Sherlock

sherlockbbc BBC BBC

It may have been nearly a year ago, but Sherlock’s return from the dead in Season 3 of the hit BBC series has been named as 2014′s most shocking TV moment – the Independent reports that there were over 639,000 tweets about the first episode alone.

Unsurprisingly, Oberyn Martell’s extremely gory death in Game of Thrones came second. We won’t be reliving that any time soon.
