What to watch on TV tonight: Thursday

Here’s what’ll be on your Twitter timeline this evening.

Every lunchtime, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

Adoption Stories (TV3, 8.30pm)

Tonight, we meet Dublin woman Terri Harrison, who became pregnant at 19 and was forced to give her baby away by the Catholic Church. She talks about the experience and longing to meet her son, who has refused to contact her. #adoptionstories

Exiles (RTÉ2, 8.30pm)

Aisha Tyler (her off Archer and Friends) is drafted in tonight to help Dylan Townsend direct his TV show, Hipsterville. We’ll never get over that name. Meanwhile, George struggles to put his musical together in short notice. #exiles

Hot Fuzz (RTÉ2, 9pm)

One of those films that’s always on telly, never really gets old. Simon Pegg and Nick Frost star in this loving pastiche of action and buddy cop movies. Fire your gun and go “AAAAAAAAH!”

Everybody’s talking about: Amy Schumer

The comedian has released another stonker of a sketch – about Listen Alert, a system which listens to your boring stories and boring work worries when nobody else will.

We’re prepared with such phrases as:Are you kidding me?
Uh huh.
She’s the worst. Sounds like you handled that perfectly.

  • Black Hawk Down (Film4, 9pm) Ridley Scott’s war drama, starring Josh Hartnett and Ewan McGregor.

  • Career Criminals (Channel 4, 10pm) A specialist team of police try to rehabilitate repeat offenders.
