What to watch on TV tonight: Sunday

Here are the shows that’ll be on your Twitter timeline later.

Every lunchtime, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

Love/Hate season finale (RTÉ One, 9.30pm)

How did six weeks speed by so fast? The final episode of Love/Hate season 5 has arrived, and there won’t be a fingernail in Ireland left unbitten after it. Nidge is summoned back to Spain by Terence Bigballs, who demands a ‘terrible price’ for continuing to support him. Meanwhile, Siobhán and Moynihan come to a deal. #lovehate

The Fall (RTÉ One, 10.30pm)

Out of the frying pan and into the fire with the second of tonight’s thrilling dramas. Gillian Anderson returns as the formidable DSI Stella Gibson – she’s still trying her best to hunt down Belfast serial killer Paul Spector (Jamie Dornan). Gibson tries in vain to help Spector’s surviving victim remember his identity. #thefall

Downton Abbey season finale (UTV, 9pm)

Though Love/Hate is the country’s main priority tonight, the fifth season of Downton Abbey is also coming to a close. One of the Crawleys is swept up in romance, Edith is still obsessed with Marigold, and the police return to question the Bateses on Mr Green’s death. #downton

The finale is here! The description above gives little to nothing away, but we reckon tonight the Nidge vs Fran feud comes to a head at last. One of them has to go, but who? And who is Nidge sharing a chuckle with here? Why does he have time for chuckles?

Love/Hate - Series 5 Episode 6 Bernard Walsh / RTÉ Bernard Walsh / RTÉ / RTÉ

Excitement is reaching boiling point over on Twitter. Come 9.30pm tonight, the whole country will be boiling kettles and getting cushions to hide behind. We can’t WAIT.
