What to watch on TV tonight: Saturday

Here are the shows that’ll be on your Twitter timeline later.

EVERY LUNCHTIME, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

The X Factor (UTV/TV3, 7.30pm)

The live shows start tonight, so expect two-hour blocks of warbling to take up all of the TV schedule for the next 10 weeks. A curse for some, a blessing for others. Italian student Andrea Faustini has been a favourite to win since his audition, but will the live shows prove everyone wrong? #xfactor

The Saturday Night Show (RTÉ One, 10.05pm)

Love/Hate’s Peter Coonan (AKA Fran) will appear on the show tonight to discuss his role in the Gaiety’s production of Brendan Behan’s Borstal Boy. He’s just one of an interesting mix of guests, including actress Jane Seymour, author David Nicholls and FAI boss John Delaney. #satnightshow

Hanna (Channel 4, 9pm)

This critically acclaimed action thriller stars Saoirse Ronan as a girl raised to be the perfect assassin. Cate Blanchett plays the CIA agent trying to track her down. The Chemical Brothers-penned score is a highlight. #hanna

Everybody’s talking about… Graham Norton’s autobiography

The Graham Norton Show - London Ian West / Press Association Images Ian West / Press Association Images / Press Association Images

Graham Norton has been frank about his alcohol use in his new book, The Life and Loves of a He Devil – he revealed that his friend Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia to you and me) encouraged him to attend AA meetings with her.

But he hasn’t given up the drink, and it doesn’t seem like he will:

The question is: do I have a problem? On one level, I obviously do because I drink far too much. But on the other hand, my rationale would be where’s the harm?
