What to watch on TV tonight: Monday

Here are the shows that will be on your Twitter timeline later.

Every lunchtime, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

The Graham Dwyer Story (TV3, 10pm)

TV3 are first in with a documentary about the trial that gripped the nation earlier this year - The Graham Dwyer Story looks at everything from the work of the Gardaí on the case to the contents of the phones owned by Dwyer and his victim Elaine O’Hara. Harrowing stuff.

Muslim Drag Queens (Channel 4, 10pm)

This documentary, narrated by Sir Ian McKellen, gives an insight into the UK’s secret gay Asian community. It follows three Muslim drag queens, who have to fight to reconcile their identity with Muslim beliefs and traditions. Guaranteed to be a talking point tomorrow.

The Life of David Gale (TG4, 9.30pm)

Tonight’s film pick is this drama starring Kevin Spacey as a death row prisoner in Texas. The thing is, he’s a former college professor who long protested capital punishment before he was imprisoned for murder. Hard luck.

Aidan Turner has signed up for FIVE more seasons of the BBC show, getting a rumoured £50 million deal to stay until 2020.

A BBC source told the Sunday Mirror:

We are keen to find a long-running drama which will return year after year and bring in a big audience – our own Downton Abbey. We believe Poldark fits the bill perfectly.

£50 million, if you don’t mind. Congrats Aidan!
