Let us try to explain: Steph and Dom, the posh couple from the wildly popular Gogglebox, will ply controversial UKIP leader Nigel Farage with drink and then interview him in their house. Why? No idea. But it’s sure to make interesting viewing.

Holding Out For A Hero (RTÉ2, 9pm)

In this series, comedian Neil Delamere attempts to learn more about the legendary Fionn Mac Cumhaill and the Fianna by doing the warrior tests they may have been put through back in the day. Tonight, he’ll retrace the steps of Cúchulainn. #holdingoutforahero

AI: Artificial Intelligence (TG4, 9.30pm)

Little Haley Joel Osment was everywhere in the early 2000s, wasn’t he? In this Spielberg-directed sci-fi drama, he plays an extremely realistic robot boy uniquely programmed to feel love. Brendan Gleeson and Jude Law also star.

Everybody’s talking about… Martin Freeman on SNL

The Hobbit star impressed with his Saturday Night Live debut over the weekend – one standout sketch re-imagined The UK Office (where Freeman got his breakout role) in Middle Earth.
