What to watch on TV tonight: Friday

Here are the shows that will be on your Twitter timeline later.

Every lunchtime, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

Other Voices (RTÉ2, 11.35pm)

Want to get in the mood for the Other Voices stage at Electric Picnic next week? Check out this selection of performances from the festival in Dingle last year. Mercury Prize winners Young Fathers top the bill, along with Buke and Gase, August Wells, and Dublin folk band Ye Vagabonds. #othervoices

Celebrity Big Brother (TV3, 9pm)

You absolutely cannot avoid this. We’re sorry, but the sheer amount of tweets about last night’s episode don’t lie. Now the celebs are all settled in the house, we review their first day of getting to know each other. We’re especially interested in how Tila Tequila, Jenna Jameson and Farrah Abraham, with their shared background in porn, get on. #cbb

Gone Baby Gone (BBC1, 11.35pm)

Ben Affleck’s directorial debut is a good ‘un, featuring his little brother Casey Affleck as a detective whose life is turned upside down while investigating the disappearance of a little girl.

Everybody’s talking about: Simon Cowell

Simon Cowell is preeeetty confident that X Factor will beat its BBC1 rival Strictly Come Dancing in the ratings this year, after failing miserably at it in 2014.

This year, the big stars on Strictly include Ainsley Harriott, Kirsty Gallacher, and Peter Andre – and Cowell couldn’t resist a dig at the former popstar:

If it’s us vs Peter Andre, I’ve got to put my money on us.

The proof of the pudding is in the eating, Simon.
