What to watch on TV tonight: Friday

Here are the shows that’ll be on your Twitter timeline later.

Every lunchtime, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

Stephanie Roche on The Late Late Show (RTÉ One, 9.35pm)

She may not have won the Puskas Award, but Stephanie Roche is now a bona fide national treasure. Tonight, she tells us all about meeting Messi, Ronaldo et al at the ceremony. Also on the show: RTÉ’s Claire Byrne, Les McKeown of the Bay City Rollers and Michael Healy Rae. #latelate

The Graham Norton Show (BBC1, 10.35pm)

Over on BBC1, Graham has Broadchurch’s David Tennant and Olivia Colman on the couch, plus Hollywood bigwig Harvey Weinstein. Not as starry as last week’s Meryl Streep/Mark Ruffalo/James McAvoy combo, but it will suffice. Music from Jessie J. #grahamnorton

Intolerable Cruelty (RTÉ One, 11.55pm)

Catherine Zeta Jones and George Clooney star in this Coen Brothers black comedy about a gold digger who marries a wealthy lawyer just to make a killing in the divorce. Not one of the Coens’ best-known films, but worth a look nonetheless.

Everyone’s talking about… #Thunderbirds

The 60s-tastic show has ditched the puppets and been a new look for the new generation. While they do look very slick, many have noted they resemble a certain popular boyband.

Thunderbirds Are Go! will air this spring, with Oscar nominee Rosamund Pike voicing Lady Penelope. David Graham, who voiced her chauffeur Parker in the original series, will reprise his role.
