GETTING INTO POLITICS early is something Isaac Anthony knows all about.

With the US presidential election just around the corner, this conservative six-year-old gives ten reasons why people should not vote for Obama in the next election.

Not the first to question where Barack Obama is from, Anthony also says Obama isn’t proud of America.

He also believes that Obama wants to take the guns away from “the good guys” and argues that the current president thinks babies are a burden. Persuasive?

  • I find this video very disturbing. Kids are born innocent. This hatred for Obama is a learned behaviour. The last point stating not to vote for Obama because nobody knows where he’s from is so wrong on so many levels. I can imagine the parents sitting around with this kid warping his mind.

  • “he wants to take guns away from the good guys” – shows how kneejerk paranoid republicans are. obamas been silent about gun control. hopefully when he gets re-elected he’ll sort it out.

  • Actual figures show that Obama has passed laws that makes guns easier to get and not blocked others that make guns harder to get – despite that Fox News and the the liars of the Republican Party are trying to falsely state about Obama in order to win votes.

But then its not first time anything Republican has been stupid and totally wrong.

Don’t get me wrong – Obama is no saint and has faults to say the least – but the schite that the Republican’ state on a regular basis, is more of the time lies I find.

  • Utter disgrace to use children to pedal such prejudicial and distorted views. Unfortunately this is not the only example of political child abuse . A number of weeks ago… There was a video doing the rounds of a child singing a homophobic song and the adults cheering. Disgrace

    • Well as a Republican I can tell you that I will be voting for Obama. I have such disgust for the eejits that have taken over a once great party. I am appalled by the chosen candidate and the antics that regularly occur in the congress that I feel sorry for Obama. I think he is trying his best and should get another 4 years.

They are that bad, they cannot legally operate in Canada where they wanted to set-up.
      * Canada has a law that states anything that is news, MUST be accurate and TRUE – and thats the law.
Fox pressurised politicians in Canada to have that repealed so their could then set-up there.
They were told where to go!

Fox news – I wouldn’t piss on them if they were on fire!

  • Such is the outright lies of the Republicans that they are stating Obama is now also giving away Island of America!
    They are – seriously!

But hand on… Obama is not!!!

“It is simply false to claim that Obama is ‘giving away’ islands to which no U.S. president has asserted a claim for more than 85 years, if ever,” wrote FactCheck

    See: http://www.politifact.com/texas/statements/2012/jul/27/wes-riddle/wes-riddle-says-us-giving-seven-alaskan-islands-ru/

One more of many lies from the Republicans then – whats new!

    • Dom – it’s reverse racism. Race is not an issue for reasonable people, it is the last accusation of the intellectually stunted. You and I see a failed leader, Martin sees a black man.

    • I’m so intellectually stunted you’re the one who missed the point :) You did get the irony? Where that post is not my own opinion but the opinion of the knuckle dragger parents of that child?

      Reply
    • Martin. The child was never disrespectful of the person he called “Mr Obama”. And in your bright mind the child was on his way to making point number 11, don’t vote for Obama “because he’s black”.
If you think the logical progression of such a mild presentation as the one above is racism, you are demonstrating (a) your own bigotry toward American republicans, by assuming they are racist when zero evidence exists to demonstrate any such thing and (b) your own racism toward a black man, as ypu cannot conceive that people not like you might reject a black man because he is incompetent, not because he is black.
Take a good look at Obama, Martin. He’s the worst president in US history. Is he black? Seems to me it’s only people like you who care about his skin colour.

    • The worst president in US history? Please explain to me how Obama is worse than William Henry Harrison or Andrew Johnson.

      Reply
    • Nick – get real, as the yanks say. My comment re Obama being worst president in history was, naturally, subjective. He’s the first leader to bankrupt America financially and morally. You disagree? So what? I stand over my claim

      Reply
    • Bankrupt America morally? Ridiculous. He’s the first president to grant serious human rights for the LGBT community, a strong moral victory. And the first several presidents owned slaves. You seem to have a VERY limited moral perspective.

As for bankrupting financially, you’d have to look to most presidents since Reagan for that. The Republican party used to believe in cutting government spending – now they seem to think it’s a firesale and they can’t spend fast enough. Both parties are guilty of this.

You seem very uneducated in American history.

Crime would hugely increase with people robbing to survive. Some Americans are ridiculously stupid. Best thing Obama done was fixing the healthcare system. Some people were not treated for illnesses if they couldn’t pay or had no insurance. Not only is that ridiculous, it’s inhumane!

  • Unfortunately this seems to happen quite a bit here (America). It’s not exclusively conservatives that try to brainwash kids early. I’ve seen Democrats say to kids, “it doesn’t matter who you vote for as long as there is a D beside the name not an R”. It’s far more common amongst Republicans it seems though. They should all leave the kids out of their fights and let them just be kids.

We are all shaped by our parents but most of us aren’t brainwashed… I would like to believe.

  • We all indoctrinate our children. So what? If you are a stupid alcoholic it is quite likely your children will be stupid alcoholics. If you are a fianna fail
die-hard your children will probably be the same. No-one cares when liberals raise their children as liberals, why all the rubbish on this blog because someone is training their child to think
like themselves? Every single contributor to this page wants their children to aspire to the same values they have, not to the values of the people next door. The parents of the child on the video have valid values. Disagree with them if you must but look at your own children and see if they are turning out like you. If they aren’t, you’re making a hash of your parenting.

In fact, he has always talked about abortion in terms of trusting women and their families to make the best decisions for them, not that he finds children to be a burden. I would say the actions to judge by are the fact that his an active father of his children, but I know the idea of trusting people to make their own decisions is a foreign concept to you!

    • You don’t get sarcasm and irony, Annie? Abortionists call babies “foetus”, obstetricians call babies “baby”.
I call babies “babies” because thats what they are and what we all were. Saves any confusion about the subject.
Can you imagine an abortionist reassuring a mother “it’s ok, now, we’ll have your baby out and dead in a short time”. They would in their eye talk like that.

      Reply
    • Well, no, actually. In life, we develop. First we’re an embryo, then a foetus, then a baby, then a toddler and so on. If not, why not just call a baby a pensioner? Saves confusion, right?

And you wonder why people believe those who are anti-choice have a poor grasp of embryology…

      Reply
    • That’s making a LOT of generalisations. It’s interesting that you believe a foetus isn’t human, but a baby is? Hmm, sounds like you recognise the grey area of development milestones. I’m assuming you’ve never had an abortion, but plenty of people who have been pregnant and are familiar with embryology see a clear developmental distinction between an early term embryo and a late term foetus.

Regardless, plenty of women who have abortions see it as a baby. Just because you believe it’s a human doesn’t mean you consent to have it live off your womb/blood/nutrients. But as a man, you will never have the lived experience of a pregnancy to understand this.

Put words in my mouth, why don’t you? Is that your way of “winning” an
      argument?
I’d say to every reader of this exchange my views are obvious – except to
      Nick.
I don’t really care if you manipulate my words to win an argument that only
occurs in your head. I am trying to put across a point of view that will
change people’s minds. Obviously your mind is so closed (or limited. Same
thing, I suppose) that you don’t recognise that there can actually be an
opposing view to yuor own, and in true arrogant liberal fashion you publish
your mighty assumption as follows: “And you wonder why people believe those who are anti-choice have a poor grasp of embryology…”
You aren’t going to be much of a success on the school debating team, Nick, when your leaps of logic produce 2 gems such as those from you that I have reproduced here.
