EVERYONE LOVES A bargain, right?
And there’s no better place to find them than in the festive season sales. Cyber Monday, the Monday after Thanksgiving in the States, is the new thing – prices are slashed and the smart ones among us are out there online hunting for Christmas presents.
Let’s take a look at how nabbing deals on the web is toppling bricks-and-mortar buys…
1. No queues
Ah, blissful calm. Just you and the laptop – as it should always be.
2. Hell is other people
Let’s face it, people losing the run of themselves in the shops beside you is a serious downside to bargain-hunting. Get it together, guys. Just because that floor-length velvet cape is half price does NOT mean that you desperately need it, so cool the jets.
3. Scrap
And speaking of fellow shoppers, moving online also eliminates the risk of coming to blows with a rival over a particularly fine deal. Not the face! Not the face!
4. Less stress
More success. Basically, shopping online means that you can be coining it with the savings, all from the comfort of your couch. While wearing slippers. And a slanket. Maybe with a hot water bottle. Who’s to know? Who’ll judge? Not us.
5. Bumper to bumper
Carparks. In a shopping centre. During the sales. If you’ve experienced it, you’ll know all about it. Enough said.
6. Door to door
Carparks are one thing – but there’s also lugging your loot back to the car and carting it home. It’s one major downside to the January sales. Wobbly wheels on trolleys abound. And there’s never enough room in the bloody boot, so the poor lads in the backseat end up with bags perched on their knees all the way home. Nightmare. Whereas when you shop online, it’s delivered to your door. Happy days.
