Being awoken to the sound of the kitchen door vibrating loudly for about 10 seconds, then stopping… and then starting again. Nearly had a heart attack walking up the hallway to the door, only to find the dog laying up against the other side of it scratching his balls…the B*****d!

Whenever the battery gets low in my boyfriends phone it notifies him by roaring “ARE THOSE MY FEET” in Father Jack’s voice. Absolutely terrifying in a pitch black room when you’re just about to drift off.

Years ago after watching Darby O’Gill and the Little People my mother told us the story of the banshee while we were in the west of Ireland. I was a bit shaken but not too bad. Lying in bed that night and the head lights of a car driving in the distance flicker across the wall. I was convinced the blue woman had come for me. Couldn’t even get out of bed to get into my parents. Paralysed with fear I was!

Went in to check on my two year old boy a few weeks ago and there he was, lying on the bed,eyes wide open just staring back at me,but not recognising me or reacting to me. Apparently sleeps with eyes open sometimes. That’ll cause him no end of grief in about 14 or 15 years.

I had a waking nightmare a while back. I heard the bedroom door open in the middle of the night and opened my eyes to see a guy with an evil look in his face standing there staring at me.he started walking towards the side of the bed.i couldn’t move as i was still paralyzed from sleep.he leaned over me and put his forearm across my throat and put his face right in front of mine to look into my eyes.i couldn’t scream either even though after a while i was aware that it wasn’t real, the fear i felt was real.i blinked and then woke up hanging off the side of the bed.still gives me the heebie jeebies when i think about it.jaysus.

I watched the Women in Black a few months ago, scared the hell out of me. To make matters worse i was woken at 4am after watching it to the sound of one of my sons musical toys going ” see you later” there was no one near the toy. anyone who has seen the movie will understand . Goosebumps

I was staying in a hotel in San Francisco a few years back. I woke up to go to the toilet in the middle of the night and in my sleep deprived state realised there was a man in the room in his boxer shorts. I let out a roar and was just about to hit him when I realised it was my own reflection in the full length mirror that was on the outside of the bathroom door! Scared the bejaysus out of me!

Uncovered windows at night freak me out. Always think someone’s gonna pop up ha and missing a step on the stairs and thinking you’re gonna fall. Always can’t watch Edward Scissorhands for some reason or the fog (original one, not the remake) still scares the bejaysus out of me at 28 years old!

I was babysitting one night and went up to settle the baby. Came back down, saw an image on the baby monitor of the cot with a figure standing over it, leaning to get the baby. Nearly died.
Turned out the monitor was just wonky and had frozen so the imagine I saw was me from a few minutes earlier.

Was in achele island a few years back nd walked into the church at 2 in the morning after q few drinks, at the alter a baby was being baptised balling its eyes out with a group of people around it in complete silence in the dark, paid no attention to me and I left a little creeped out

Eat a LOT of blue cheese before going to bed and then you’ll get some serious nightmares. :)

Years ago when all homes got iodine tablets incase there ever was a nuclear disaster – rte decide to do a documentary on the telly about what would happen in the event of a sellafield disaster- clips with the news reporter reporting the worst !! I turn on telly midway through missing the little announcement at the bottom of screen that its a hoax. i Freak out! Run around the house shutting windows- rang my sister who was on a bus to Dublin who in turn stood up and whaled that we are all doomed!!… Opps!! Note to self… Check other channels next time! ’twas an awful fright though!

Our Kitchen window looks out to a wall so we don’t have a blind on it but I sometimes get horrible feeling someone is looking in at me (i watch to many ghost programmes) got it real bad one night I looked out and my dog was near level to the window he was sitting on bricks my brother got for his shed and the dog just sitting on the bricks looking back in at me!!!!! Nearly died of heart Failure! Another thing is when I was driving up to our house at night time we could see 3 shadows standing outside our home we thought the first few times it was my bro and mates but soon realised it wasn’t, haven’t found out what it was or is but we can only see it driving up to our home from that one road and nobody outside the family can see them???

Another thing is my grandfather is supposed to be in our Kitchen he loved my mam’s cooking and we were told that by a tarot reader fast forward a couple of weeks later I come home with a few drinks in me and am eating a cold beef curry just finished it and suddenly remember what we were told I freak out and run out of the kitchen screaming good night granddad lol

Start to sleep and dreaming I miss a stair or brake with my car because too short to take over… I m sure I m not the only one but still create a good shake when it’s happening…

Then a ghostly figure appeared through the glass door coming straight for me. I thought I would have a heart attack till I realised it was my husband coming down the stairs behind me in his stocking feet.

Reminds me of all the crazy scares me or other people got over the years, that were so silly but felt really scary at the time:

Seeing a lamp in your upstairs window when you’re outside, and thinking it’s someone looking out at you…

Seeing a poster on the wall (either from in the room, or outside) and thinking it’s a person…

Seeing the kitchen flash red from whatever film was on at the time, and thinking the kitchen’s on fire…

And lastly, the time I dressed up as a ghost at Hallow’een, when I was about 10, and called at a neighbour’s house and saw a ghost staring back at me from their back garden- only to realise it wasn’t their back garden, it was a mirror, and the ghost was me dressed up!!

Heard a noise in the bathroom 2 year’s ago, the noise was making the whole bathroom vibrate. It would get louder and louder then ease off. if I opened the window it stopped if I closed the window the whole bathroom would vibrate again. Went on for about 10 mins.

Thought my house was haunted but heard the noise again on you tube, there was a phenomenon that happens and people refer to it as the noise. Some recon it’s the biblical sign of Armageddon and it’s the.heavenly trumpets.
