AN UNDERWEAR THIEF was easily caught by police in the US… after she fled the scene in an ice cream truck.
Police at Rock Hill, South Carolina say the 34-year-old suspect, Lessa Iannone, stole two pairs of underwear worth around $13 (€9.55) from a local dollar store on Thursday.
Instead of trying to keep a low profile after pinching the panties, Iannone decided to make her getaway in a white ice cream truck.
According to the Charlotte Observer, police were familiar with a woman matching Iannone’s description who was known to drive the white truck – so they just rocked up to her house and arrested her.
Bet she gave them a frosty reception. Get it? Sorry.
