This romantic drama about the phenomenon of writing letter to Shakespeare’s heroine Juliet stars Amanda Seyfried as a young woman trying to help Vanessa Redgrave find her long-lost love. Oh, go on then.
The 90s: The Decade That Connected Us (National Geographic, 9pm)
Rob Lowe and a starry cast of talking heads, including Colin Powell, Roseanne Barr and Vanilla Ice, look back in the 1990s. Topics of discussion include Bill Clinton’s election, the Gulf War and The Blair Witch Project.
Everybody’s talking about: Downton Abbey
The cast and executive producer gave reporters a sneaky glimpse into what fans can expect from the fifth season of the show due to air this autumn on ITV. Spoiler alert: Lady Edith can expect even more misery.
Laura Carmichael, who plays Edith, noted that things weren’t looking up for her character this season, while Michelle Dockery, who plays Lady Mary, told reporters, “Mary’s mean to Edith especially this season,” adding, “Mary doesn’t know Edith has a daughter. So Edith certainly won’t get any sympathy from her unknowing sister.”
