I’m totally against the death penalty.

Except in the case of someone pouring milk onto a tea bag.

Tea can only be brewed correctly with water hotter than 93C. If you add milk first it reduces both the cup and water temperature, thus impeding correct brewing.

Use loose tea leaves.Teabags are an abomination!

First “scald” the teapot by adding aliitle boiling water and swishing around. Discard. Add one teaspoon tea leaves per person plus “one for the pot”. Add the requisite amount of boiling water. Allow to brew according to taste.

Hardcore tea drinkers tell me that tea leaves are the way to go. Never tried them. Anyone know are they worth the purchase?

Have to have it from a teapot which has been on the hob. Hate taste of tea made with teabag in a mug. I can almost taste the bag. Yuck.

i alway remove the tea bag before adding milk..my partner makes me tea..adds the milk and never removes the teabag yuck yuck yuck oh and my granny keeps buying us all teapots bcos tea does nopt brew properly in a mug!!!!

About 5 seconds, quick stir and squeeze against the side of the cup. Perfecto!!!!

Can’t drink tea.. Caffiene intolerance, but herbal teas – leave the teabag in!! (but never use boiling water – let it come off the boil for a sec first)

Can’t beat some Pukka Love tea (camomile, lavender and rose), Three Ginger (ginger, turmeric and galangaal) or peppermint, yum!!

Leaving the tea bag in ? Are ya mad , sure the milk clogs the pours in the teabag therefore stopping the flavour from coming out

Always leave the tea-bag in, may sound disgusting but wow, proper cuppa…don’t knock it till u try it…….

mug-tea bag-water-milk and don’t remove the tea bag! get’s stronger as you go along! brilliant! and peppermint tea with a spoon of honey if you’ve had a big meal also with the tea bag left in!

Ireland really ought to have a tea festival. kind of like Munich’s Oktoberfest for beer. I love trying different teas, and it would be great to have a whole choice of them in one place!

And don’t ever squeeze the teabag – you’re only forcing the sediment and tannins into your tay.

Heres something I learnt the other day: dont use animal milk in your tea use soya or oat milk instead. The casein in animal milk binds to the antioxidants in the tea do you don’t get any benefits. If your gonna stain your teeth ( and rot them if you use sugar) then you may as well get some health benefits.

black tea… and I leave the bag in to stew, so it’s nice and strong.. no point in buying a teabag just to dip it in and throw it away.. get the maximum flavour for your money

How long after a kettle is boiled is the water still at boiling temp…oh…I take bag out before milk, nice weak tea.

Sugar, tea bag, milk and then the water! Good squeeze and take it out!
