THE MTV EUROPEAN music awards took place last night in Amsterdam. Eminem was the big winner of the night, and Miley Cyrus made a show of herself, again.
Well, we watched it so you don’t have to. Here are 12 memorable moments of the show:
1. Redfoo’s attempts at being relevant
It was hosted by ‘Redfoo’, otherwise known as the dude from LMFAO.
Yes, you’ve been trying to forget that that was a thing, but it was, and now he’s back with a huge hosting gig, and wearing silver speedos on stage just to add insult to injury.
2. Ellie Goulding’s tan
Tan level: Gerine
3. Miley Cyrus’ dress
There are no words, other than the two that were spread across her arse cheeks.
4. Ron meets Miley
It’s a match made in heaven. Ron presented Miley with the Best Video award for Wrecking Ball.
Basically, he ruled the show.
5. Eminem loves award
Ron was also on hand to give Eminem the Global Icon award, which Eminem accepted graciously by declaring; “I love award”.
He also dissed Afrojack when Ron said he’d been talking shit about the rapper.
6. Afrojack got punk’d
Now everyone is spamming Afro’s Facebook page with, you guessed it, ‘who?’

7. Miley lit up a spliff on stage
Yeah. She did that.
Talk about criminal misuse of a Chanel bag.
8. Miley Cyrus performed with another little person
Does she have a secret little person posse?
She managed to keep the tongue intact, however. Instead, she distracted us all with a giant photo of her crying head as the backdrop.
9. Ylvis showed up as foxes
But WHAT DO THEY SAY?
10. Jedward keep getting invited
They wore the whole of Europe on their suits. They also flew.
… and hung out with Katy Perry. So now.
11. The pole dancer from Rihanna’s Pour It Up video writhed around on stage
Bruno Mars stood beside her and performed Gorilla as well.
Get it girl.
12. Katy Perry flew among the lazer beams
She also became a human Maypole.
…and spat out her champagne when it was announced that she won the award for Best Female.
So that’s it for this year. Next year the show will take place in Glasgow. What will those crazy kids get up to next?
