We do regular testing of this very question in our office through out the Christmas season. Roses always win (though there may be a proximity bias involved).

Quality Street! The strawberry and orange fondant ones are so much nicer than their Roses equivalents.

quality street does taste cheaper than roses, but I love that peanut flavoured sweet one they have, plus it is rarer to come across a box of quality street now plus they remind me more of childhood..thank you journal, you have helped me arrive at an answer to a question I didnt know I had! :-)

Roses are streets ahead, the purple ones alone are enough to win it. But roses are around 12 months of the year where Quality Street only really make an appearance at Christmas so I voted QS. And why replace Christ with X? We don’t say Hans Xian Anderson or X church cathederal

Since cadburys started increasing the soya content of their chocolate they have gone downhill massively. If one gets soft now, the chocolate doesn’t melt. It just turns to soft spongy type material. And it doesn’t agree with me anyway. Asfor quality street they were always sh1t.
Any boxes we get now in the house are rapidly rewrapped and passed in.

Well I don’t know about ye lot but the Belgian Ambassador has been really spoiling me this year so it’s a pyramid/sss of Ferrer Rocher I’ll be scoffing come Christmas Day=)

As a kid I used to open the box of sweets steal half the box and then seal it back up again with fresh Sellotape. My mother never copped but she always gave out about how they just didn’t put in as many roses into the box anymore .

Whichever has the purple wrapped choc in it, the one with caramel and nut inside it…drooling now.

Kinda allergic to chocolate, but my kids bought me loads of jelly beans a few years ago. Hmmmm jelly beans…
