Ted (9.35pm, RTÉ Two)
Mark Wahlberg plays a grown man with a slacker, foul-mouthed Teddy Bear for a best buddy. He brought the bear to life as a youngster and now he’s here to stay. Family Guy’s Seth MacFarlane wrote it (and voices Ted), so expect plenty of toilet humour.
Our Father The Serial Killer (10pm, TV3)
This disturbing but intriguing documentary follows a brother and sister as they attempt to prove a claim that their dad was a serial killer who murdered over 50 people in 40 years. Light, breezy viewing then.
Mistaken For Strangers (12.50am, Film 4)
If you’re planning a late one, or just can’t sleep, now is your chance to catch this excellent music documentary. Tom Berninger, an amateur film maker, follows his brother Matt as he tours the world with his band. The band? Oh, just The National. This eccentric story of two brothers and musicians in the midst of their success is a must-see.
Everybody’s talking about James Corden
The Brit actor has apparently bagged himself a prestigious US talkshow. Corden is strongly rumoured to be taking over Craig Ferguson’s vacant seat on The Late Late Show in December. The only problem is, America doesn’t seem to know who he is. Those who DO know him, are a bit baffled.
