'Bring Back the Old Snax' campaign launched on Facebook

People out there are angry.

DO YOU REMEMBER Tayto Snax being different? Well, you’re not alone.

People are angry. People are hurting. And people want ‘old Snax’ back on the shelves.

A Facebook page called Bring Back The Old Snax launched two days ago.

It describes the current Snax as “an unrecognisable excuse for a crisp”, and says that changes to the salty delicacy are:

An issue that is affecting the majority of the people on this Island. A change, that the powers that be don’t want YOU to talk about.

The page asks plaintively:

How can we go about bringing back the old snax?

So far, Bring Back The Old Snax has picked up just over 170 likes. And it is not alone. There is widespread anger on social media about the state of Snax:

Some people have even requested a direct intervention from Mr Tayto, via his Facebook page:

So what is happening? Has the recipe been changed? Will Tayto bow to popular pressure?

DailyEdge.ie has reached out to Tayto for comment.
