SWEDISH HOUSE MAFIA are back in the headlines over their music, whose pounding, pounding beats apparently played a part in inciting the stabbings of nine people in Dublin’s Phoenix Park.
The official Garda report on the incident singled out the group’s “electric music” – yes, they called it that – as a factor in the disorder.
Officers then requested that concert promoters “give greater consideration to the selection of concert venue for this type of music”.
Local Fianna Fáil councillor Mary Fitzpatrick has also weighed in, arguing that promoters should “not [be] permitted” to hold “electronic dance music events” until extra security measures are put in place.
