ALERT! You may be suffering from the Sunday Night Fear

AKA the Back-To-Work Fear. Here’s how to recognise it…

THE SUNDAY NIGHT Fear is a terrible affliction.

Here are some of the symptoms.

You have sighed loudly several times in the past hour.

Your skin feels faintly uncomfortable.

Everyone is out to get you.

You are consciously avoiding looking at the clock, in an attempt to prevent time from progressing.

Tomorrow morning in reality

Tomorrow morning in your head.

You have made yourself a desperate promise for the week ahead

(That you definitely won’t keep.)

You feel vaguely guilty about your existence

You are somehow both tired and restless at the same time

You are avoiding looking in your wallet

The mere thought of this music makes you want to go into the foetal position and put a pillow over your head

And in fact, when you look back at the weekend, this is how you feel.

Have you got it? We’re sorry.

The only known treatment for the Sunday Night Fear is to make yourself another cup of tea, get under a duvet on the sofa, and watch a movie with Clint Eastwood in it.

Feel free to share this post with anyone who you think needs it right now. Together, we can get through this.
